This project was inspired by the evergreen jungles of North East India and the rich flora of these jungles which is a home to the livelihood to the primitive societies of the North eastern States along with various species of wild animals and birds.
The final collection along with the coordinates were all hand painted and inked .
taking specifications for silk jacquard into consideration the CAD files and fabric simulations were developed.
The weave structures applied in the CAD file were following the concept of Lampas fabric with colur mixing using Pick and Pick weaving technique.
Weaving specification for one of the coordinates which is the creeper surface.
The surface could be used for various other products like cushions , wall papers, curtains, upholstery ,etc.
